Norbert Dentressangle has signed a four-year contract with the Highways Agency to store and distribute emergency salt for Britain’s roads.
The firm is one of five companies responsible for procuring, storing and distributing road salt to the Highways Agency’s service providers across the country.
The contract runs until 2016 and builds on ND’s existing relationship with the Highways Agency.
In 2010 the firm began storing and distributing items associated with the maintenance of roadside cameras, emergency telephones and signs on England’s motorways.
The contract was extended in 2011 to include motorway variable message signs.
Last week Motortransport.co.uk reported that Norbert Dentressangle would continue to operate for Comet for now, which has gone into administration.
