Motortransport.co.uk has learnt that DHL Supply Chain was reappointed as logistics partner for retailer Nisa in the UK back in April, as well as winning the contract for the Republic of Ireland.

DHL took complete control of Nisa’s logistics operations in 2011, and has a relationship with the business that stretched back to 1989. The new contract will run for three years and no value has been placed on it.

As part of the deal DHL Supply Chain will deliver in excess of 100 million cases per year to Nisa to over 2,500 different Nisa franchise partners accounting for 3,500 delivery points.

The new contract also incorporates Nisa’s distribution in the Republic of Ireland.

A spokesperson for DHL said: "Nisa is a long standing and valued customer for DHL and we are delighted to have been chosen to support them as they continue to grow and respond to the increasing demand for convenience shopping."
