Knowles Logistics has completed one of its biggest ever single investments, with the expansion and transformation of its March head office.

Renovations led by Cambridge-based COEL took over nine months and included the use of walnut cladding, light tones and an Italian inspired style.

The ambitious expansion project was developed by MD Alex Knowles and the finished design met his objective to create an HQ that brought the management team under one roof, as well as a modern and professional working environment.

The haulier added that the IT implementation project was also delivered on time and to spec, ensuring a seamless integration with its existing systems.

The company said the expansion demonstrated its commitment to fostering close strategic relationships with customers and employees.

Knowles said: “As we now have over 650 employees, we saw this as a great opportunity to bring our management team together, create an inspiring space for our transport and central support teams and future proof the business.

“From the outset COEL demonstrated a real willingness and passion to work on this project with us.

“They understood the brief and navigated us seamlessly through the complex transition process.”

As well as expanded spaces for HR, IT, marketing and logistics, the newly designed transport check-in area also includes shower facilities for drivers.
