Haydock-based Law Distribution has promoted David McGuire to the role of finance director to strengthen its leadership team.
McGuire joined the company early last year as accounts controller, bringing with him a 30-year track record of working in senior finance roles, ranging from supporting large multi-nationals to owner-managed businesses.
He has worked primarily in the manufacturing sector, including the chemical, oil and gas, lighting, plastics and pharmaceutical industries.
Since joining Law Distribution, McGuire has introduced a range of new procedures and practices including management information to support business operations which led to his promotion.
In his new role, he is responsible for the company’s accounts department and supporting the wider business on financial matters, as well as being the point of contact for external bodies such as HMRC and the company’s bank.
Speaking about McGuire’s promotion, Angela Carus, Law Distribution MD, said, “We are extremely fortunate to have someone of David’s calibre and with such extensive experience in finance to be joining our team of directors. He will play a key role in supporting our ambitious growth plans.
