Hermes has been awarded a two year extension on its contract with shoe retailer Clarks, which has seen it deliver three million parcels for the company since it won the contract in 2012.
The deal will see Hermes continue to provide Clarks with both a next day and three to five day delivery service. While Hermes expects to deliver around 1.6m parcels for the retailer in 2015, it said these volumes are anticipated to rise over the course of the two additional years.
Mark Pettit, sales and marketing director at Hermes said: “Clarks is one of the most recognisable names on the high street and is a business that is steeped in history.
"We look forward to supporting this iconic retailer as it continues to develop its online proposition. Meanwhile, we continue to significantly invest in our infrastructure and technology to ensure we can operate a highly efficient service at all times.”
Peter Scraton, Clarks Group logistics director, added the group had been "delighted" with Hermes thus far. "These are exciting and challenging times in the digital world we look forward to continuing our partnership into the future," he said.
