Gefco UK has extended its sustainable packaging contract with plant manufacturer Caterpillar BCP.
The deal, which began with a trial towards the end of 2014, will see Gefco continue to deliver its plastic ‘GefBox’ containers to Caterpillar suppliers and collect them again from production sites.
Gefco said the plastic packaging increases load capacity and production space for its users, which in turn increases overall efficiency and productivity.
Roy Fenner, global automotive account manager at Gefco, said: “We are delighted to be awarded this exciting opportunity to build on our relationship with Caterpillar and development of our GefBox solution, which is already used by over 1,500 customers across 22 international markets.
“We look forward to continuing to deliver excellent customer service and the highest level of support we have provided to Caterpillar during our relationships,” added Fenner.
