CM Downton is set to deliver more than nine million Christmas TV guides to wholesalers and retailers this weekend.
The magazine delivery specialist will use fleet of 170 trucks to collect copies of the Radio Times, TV Times, What’s on TV, TV Choice, Total TV Guide and TV and Satellite from printers in Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, Bicester and Colchester, delivering them ahead of the Christmas period.
Director Kate Downton said: “We distribute around 260,000 tonnes of magazines each year in the UK, but even by our standards this is a big operation.
“Fortunately, we have the fleet, the staff and the experience to handle a major distribution of this nature. By working closely with our clients to manage the process efficiently and cost-effectively, we’re confident this weekend will go off without a hitch.”
The Gloucestershire-based operator recently made a £4.5m investment in its 50 new trucks and 60 new trailers.
