DHL Consumer Bawtry has awarded a contract for the management of both its temporary and permanent staffing requirements to recruitment specialist Milestone.

The contract, worth approximately £8m a year, will see Milestone manage LGV drivers, fork lift truck drivers, warehouse operatives and administrative staff at Bawtry, Europe’s single largest multi-user warehousing and distribution site.

Milestone has located ten of its specialist staff onsite to recruit, train and manage over 400 temporary workers that are required daily by the largest single employer in the Doncaster area.

Adam Thompson, joint founder of Milestone, says: “This is the largest single contract for Milestone since our launch in 2005 and builds on our successful track record with DHL. ”

Founded in 2005, Milestone is a recruitment business specialising in finding temporary and permanent jobs in the transport, distribution and utilities sectors. Milestone’s turnover is around £30m and clients include DHL, Eddie Stobart and Norbert Dentressangle.
