Fashion retailer ME+EM has appointed Clipper Logistics to provide a multichannel logistics service from its shared-user DC at Enfield.
The contract, which Clipper began work on in July, involves storage and pre-retail services including packaging, as well as e-fulfilment and deliveries to ME+EM’s central London retail store by electric vehicle.
Cornelia Smith, ME+EM director of merchandising, said Clipper had “demonstrated the expertise we needed to help prepare the business for its planned growth”.
“We have been delighted with the initial migration to the Clipper facility and look forward to the continued success of this operation,” she added.
The latest win comes hot on the heels of Clipper’s new contract with cigarette manufacturer Philip Morris for bonded warehousing and distribution.
Clipper, which floated on the stock market earlier this year, recently reported a 55% rise in turnover in its e-fulfilment division in the year to 30 April alongside a 30% rise in income from other logistics activities.
