Trailer builder Cartwright has launched an off the shelf Fleet Specification curtainside straight frame semi trailer as a lower cost alternative to the bespoke trailers Cartwright builds to order.
The Fleet Specification trailer has been designed using lessons learned from Cartwright's in-house rental fleet, which has over 4,500 trailers.
While based on a standard specification, there are a range of options, enabling them to operators' specific needs.
Cartwright says the Fleet Specification trailers will reduce total costs ownership through increased reliability and resale value.
Darren Holland, group sales director of Cartwright, says: “The Fleet Specification trailer range has been designed to not only benefit the customer with lower whole life running costs, including reduced damage but also to provide a more cost effective purchase option over and above a bespoke specification, whilst still giving the operator exactly what they need.
“Needless to say, we will still continue to offer our ‘blank sheet of paper’ specification option, for customers that have a more specialised requirement.”
