West Lothian transport company Blacks Haulage Solutions has joined the Pall-Ex network as a shareholder member.

The family run business, launched 48 years ago, will cover the EH postcode for the Pall-Ex network, supplying services to Newbridge and the surrounding area.

Blacks Haulage, which has its headquarters in Bathgate, offers pallet services, general haulage, warehousing, container devanning and operates a truck wash facility. It has an operating licence for 20 trucks and 30 trailers.

This is the first time the company has joined a pallet network. Owner and group managing director Stuart Black said: “Our decision to become shareholders of Pall-Ex was driven by the recent changes in the industry due to Covid and a shift in consumer buying habits, now focussed more heavily on e-commerce.”
