A range of support measures introduced by Palletforce in order to protect members and maintain volumes during the Covid-19 pandemic has helped the network achieve “record” demand.

The company said it had set new weekly and daily records for network volumes and this came off the back of action taken by both it and EV Cargo when volumes dropped significantly at the start of the lockdown.

It said this included the provision of a bespoke digital sales and marketing campaign to help members boost their online marketing.

Palletforce directors also made weekly calls with depot principals to offer support and advice and it focused on technology such as pallet selfies and ePOD2 to provide safety for drivers.

Michael Conroy, Palletforce chief executive, said: “Protecting the business and providing support for our members to navigate the pandemic and ignite growth has been a prime concern.

“We continue to remain cautious, are aware that the future is still uncertain and the speed at which the UK economy will recover is unclear.

“However, we are looking forward with hope and optimism.”
