Expiration dates for the Safe Loading Pass Scheme (SLPS) have been extended until 25 July in order to help hauliers continue to run smoothly during the COVID-19 pandemic. A senior figure at one of the UK’s biggest logistics operations has admitted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic could see businesses face “an Armageddon of liquidations” and a future based on “the survival of the fittest”.
Consumption of transport fuels fell slightly in the third quarter of 2012, new figures from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) show. The data reveals that a 5.6% fall in petrol deliveries during the quarter were largely offset by a 3.4% rise in diesel deliveries.
