DHL Supply Chain, the principal logistics partner for Aston Martin, has been appointed to manage the full in-bound supply chain at St Athan, the company’s new manufacturing facility in South Wales.

In addition, DHL’s contract with the iconic British manufacturer has been extended to the end of 2027 following a successful two-year implementation.

Originally appointed for a five-year term in August 2017, DHL currently manages the inbound transportation, inventory management, warehousing and in-plant logistics to support the brand’s production facility in Gaydon, where over 5,000 luxury cars are produced each year.

DHL said the deal to manage the St Athan facility comes as a result of the high levels of service delivered at Gaydon and will allow DHL to bring significant employment opportunities to South Wales over the coming months.
