A two-year trial of biomethane-powered trucks has seen well-to-wheel CO2 emissions slashed by over 1,400 tonnes and trial drivers rating the trucks higher on comfort than their diesel equivalents. The Dedicated to Gas project, funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and Innovate UK, saw Howard Tenens, Kuehne + Nagel and Asda run a total of 20 Euro-6 trucks on biomethane. Clipper has continued its chain of fashion retailer contract wins, having signed a deal with new high street retailer Pep & Co.
Clipper Logistics has won a new contract with Swedish children’s clothes retailer Polarn O. Pyret. It sees Clipper provide logistics from its Ollerton facility, as well as a warehousing arrangement that will allow expansion of Polarn’s current product range and offer store replenishment it its second phase, reducing the lead time of stock from Sweden.
