Andy Scott, owner, Bison Transport Group

Peterborough haulage firm Bison Transport Group is under new ownership after it was snapped up by entrepreneur Andy Scott.

The company, which has been trading for four years, provides haulage services to companies such as Ikea, Amazon and Maritime, operating out of two depots with 50 HGVs.

The corporate takeover is Scott’s 10th in two years and is his third transport business (he purchased removal firm AG Cannon in July and owns Reliable Removals & Storage).

He said the plan was to double Bison Transport’s current £12m turnover and increase the number of lorries it operates to 100 over the next couple of years.
