The North East Freight Partnership wants to hear operator views on the impact Brexit will have on the logistics sector in the North East.
It has put a call out to industry to take part in the following short survey:
“Brexit has the potential to present challenges and opportunities for the freight and logistics sector in the North East. Customs clearance requirements may become more pronounced and the markets the region’s businesses serve may change, representing a challenge to the supply chain.
“Therefore, the North East Freight Partnership would like your support into research investigating the potential effect of Brexit on hauliers and logistics companies in the North East, particularly those facilitating exports. We are looking to develop recommendations that the sector could introduce to mitigate any negative impacts and take advantage of opportunities that may arise from the UK’s exit from the European Union.
“We would like you to contribute to this study and hope you can spare 5-10 minutes to talk through a short questionnaire covering aspects such as what international markets you serve, what mitigation measures you are putting in place and what impact you think Brexit will have on your operations.
