Tyre manufacturer BFGoodrich is entering the UK and Ireland truck tyre markets from January next year. Eco haulier Howard Tenens, which has pioneered a range of low carbon technologies including gas powered trucks, has completed a trial with Bridgestone proving the financial and environmental benefits of low rolling resistance tyres.
As the world’s largest new tyre manufacturer, turning over $28bn (£22bn) a year, it might seem surprising that Bridgestone also has a significant retread operation.
