Around 34% of transport managers intend to quit within five years, a new survey from the FTA has found.

The figure, based on data collected from 328 transport managers, is a significant increase compared with last year's response to the same question, when 23% of the participants stated their intention to leave within the time period.

The remaining data from the FTA’s Transport Manager survey, which is sponsored by Volvo, will be presented at the trade association’s Transport Manager 2015 events, the first of which will take place at Brands Hatch on 9 September.

Following this date, the event will tour the country until December.

Other sessions at FTA Transport Manager 2015 will include TCs discussing their priorities for the coming year for that particular area; the implications the Glasgow bin lorry crash could have on drivers; and discussion of the issues surrounding Operation Stack.

Tickets are available now on the Transport Manager website.
