fortec

Fortec is to open a new hub in Warrington, expanding its capabilities in the north of England.

The new hub will be used initially by 15 Fortec members based in the north and Ireland, who will move 10% of the network’s volume at the outset with a view to expanding this figure in time.

As well as giving Fortec’s members and customers a more efficient service, the opening of the new hub will boost the network’s environmental credentials. Drivers will be spending less time on the road, lowering stem mileage to and from depots and decreasing CO2 emissions.

Fortec’s Northamptonshire hub will remain the core of the network’s operation. What the opening of the new location does, said Adrian Bradley, Fortec’s general manager operations, is “demonstrate Fortec’s long-term commitment to ensuring maximum efficiency across the network.”

Dave Spong, Fortec’s general manager, commercial, added: “The new site represents a huge step forward in the future development of Fortec and will help to support its planned growth, particularly in the north.”
