Family-owned transport firm Moody Logistics of Cramlington in Northumberland has launched a profit share scheme for its 30 workers to reward employees as the company grows.

Business development director Caroline Moody said: “Our staff have played a major part in the history of the company since 1947. We place a very high value on every one of them – whether they are part-time or full time – and this year we are very proud to be able to give a variety of bonuses. Everyone gets something and that is important to us."

She continued: “We are a third generation firm and, from the beginning, have made sure we reward our staff in any we can. At Christmas we have a get together where we present a trophy to our Driver of the Year, which is voted for by the staff. We see it as an investment in the future of the company, so the chance to share our profits with them is about as good as it gets for us."

In 1997 Moody Logistics was the first transport and logistics firm in the region to be awarded an Investor in People award and has held it ever since. The company moved to its seven-acre site at Bolam Business Park in Cramlington in May 2005.
