Retail logistics service provider Clipper Logistics has appointed Sean Hallows as its new operations director. Hallows, previously distribution director, Europe, at TK Maxx parent TJX Europe, is a former operations director at 3663 Foodservice and a former distribution director of Poundland.

The Co-operative Group has confirmed that a significant number of staff will take redundancy, following its move to consolidate two DCs. Its Wellington, Somerset and Portbury, Bristol DCs will merge into a new £20m regional distribution centre at Avonmouth.
