Pall-Ex Polska is set to launch in Poland in May 2013, the pallet network has revealed. KMC-Services has become the network’s latest network partner as part of its ambitious European expansion plans. DPD has extended the suspension of its parcel deliveries to Europe as it struggles to cope with the fallout from new post-Brexit customs requirements.
Gefco has signed a seven-year contract with General Motors to manage inbound and outbound logistics for the US car maker across Europe. As part of the deal, which starts in 2013, Gefco will supply GM assembly sites in the UK, Poland, Spain, Germany and Russia from European suppliers and worldwide export ports. Pall-Ex has moved to ensure coverage continuity in the South-west by buying Cornish network member Intercounty Distribution for £700,000. The company based on the Pennygillam Industrial Estate in Launceston has an O-licence for up to 22 vehicles and eight trailers. It has been a Pall-Ex member for 14 years.
