UPS has completed its final delivery to the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and Main Press Centre (MPC) at the Olympic Park. As a result the equipment for 21,000 media representatives is now all delivered, set up and in place for the start of the Games. London Councils has stated it has no plans to relax the rules governing night-time and weekend deliveries in the capital, despite renewed industry calls for the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS) to be reviewed.
UPS is due to formally submit its €9.50 per share cash offer for Dutch-owned parcels firm TNT Express tomorrow. The offer has been recommended to shareholders by TNT’s board, with majority shareholder PostNL, which holds nearly 30% of all shares, agreeing to sell its stake under the offer.
