Road transport trade associations the FTA and RHA have welcomed the appointment of Beverley Bell as Senior Traffic Commissioner (STC). International truck operators have been left in limbo after the French government announced a further – this time indefinite – suspension of its Ecotax road user charging scheme.
The DVSA has now confirmed that it does approve of the new design of load restraint for the upper deck of double-deck curtainsiders developed by a Road Haulage Association (RHA)-led working group with input from various vehicle operators and trailer manufacturer Montracon.
