Motor Transport’s owner Road Transport Media has revealed today (25 May) that it is acquiring Tip-ex, the UK’s only exhibition for the tipper and bulk transport sector.
The annual trade show, held in Harrogate, attracts over 70 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors every year and is a major focal point for the construction and bulk transport sector.
“Tip-ex serves an extremely important part of the UK road freight industry and we are delighted to have the opportunity to get involved with this event,” says Andy Salter, MD of Road Transport Media.
“This is a very exciting time for Tip-ex; we are looking forward to working with exhibitors and visitors to develop the show and make it a must-attend event.”
The deal to acquire the exhibition from present owner G&T Events is due to complete on 28 May.
TipEx will join the events portfolio of Road Transport Media sitting alongside the Motor Transport Awards, Commercial Motor Live and a programme of industry seminars and conferences.
The 2013 Tip-ex event will take place at the Harrogate International Centre from 31 May to 2 June 2013.
