Frozen food specialist Yearsley Group is to expand cold storage facilities at its Hareshill Distribution Park headquarters in Manchester.
Construction of a new 160,000ft² unit, adjacent to its existing facility, will begin in June to help meet demand from its growing portfolio of contracts.
Once completed, the new £20m Hareshill unit will add 40,000 pallet spaces, doubling storage capacity, and increasing the workforce by 150. It will also include a range of environmentally-friendly design features including high grade insulation and rainwater harvesting.
Established in 1955, Yearsley Group has more than 1,200 employees, an annual turnover of £121m and 12 UK depots servicing major customers like Tesco, Asda, Heinz, Youngs and Brakes.
