ArrowXL has appointed Ian Pearson to be its new procurement manager.
He will work alongside the executive team and be responsible for strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
The two-person home delivery specialist said Pearson had over 20 years of experience in a number of operational roles where he was in charge of developing strategic procurement processes and managing supplier relationships.
In his new role he will work with key stakeholders across the business to drive cost efficiencies, and maintain the highest standards of quality across the supply chain.
He said: “There is a great opportunity for us to add real value to the business, and to become the customer of choice for our suppliers.
“I look forward to working with the whole ArrowXL team, to drive innovation, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional service to our customers and stakeholders.”
Charlie Shiels, ArrowXL’s chief executive, said: “Ian’s background in procurement and supply chain management will be extremely valuable to ArrowXL as we look to grow the business over the coming years, and remain industry leaders in the delivery sector.”
Documents recently filed at Companies House showed ArrowXL is being prepared for sale by the administrators of its parent company, Logistics Group Limited, which collapsed in March.
