ArrowXL has launched an initiative to streamline operations and reduce carbon emissions as part of its environmental commitment.

‘OneFleet’ will slash the total number of the company’s delivery routes by at least 4,000 a year, a reduction of 8.7%, the company estimates.

It aims to consolidate ArrowXL’s 24-hour and platinum service fleet into a single service model by loading vehicles overnight, enabling it to better optimise route planning and reduce the number of vehicles on the road, saving over 800,000 miles per annum.

Commenting on the launch, Dave Buckingham, head of UK operations at ArrowXL, said: “Our OneFleet initiative represents a significant advancement in our delivery capabilities, allowing us to provide improved coverage on our next day delivery service, reducing customer rebook times and ensuring we’re better placed to service trade industries.”

Added chief executive Charlie Shiels: “OneFleet underscores our dedication to providing a reliable 2-person home delivery solution, while prioritising operational and environmental excellence. We look forward to developing the service even further over the next year, and remain committed to leveraging innovation and technology to meet the evolving demands of our clients and their customers.”
