Gloucestershire’s John Hackling Transport increased turnover last year by 3.2% to £17.5m.

Latest financial figures for the Palletline member show that for the year ending 30 September 2019, gross profit also increased by 2% to £4.3m, although pre-tax profit reduced by almost £1m to £205,558.

Haulage accounted for the bulk of Hackling’s revenues, with £15.4m generated last year; storage and handling made up the remainder.

In its financial report the company, which holds a standard international licence for 75 HGVs operating out of two depots in Cheltenham and Swindon, added that on 1 October 2018, it sold the company’s freehold property to John Hackling Holdings for £16,126,899.
