EV Cargo Global Forwarding has promoted Russell Lawrence (pictured) to the new post of vice president of the UK region.
The company said the appointment is part of a major management restructuring which sees another two posts created as it gears up for major global growth.
Nick Toye takes on the role of vice president of global product and procurement of ocean freight and retains his position as UK chairman of the firm’s Far East cargo line, while Simon Power has been promoted to vice president of global operations.
Lawrence’s promotion sees him head up the UK region which is the largest single region in the network.
His brief is to lead the UK product teams across sea, air, road and rail to enhance service provision to UK customers.
Lawrence is a long-standing member of EV Cargo Global Forwarding, joining as an apprentice at the company, which was then known as Allport, in 1986.
