Ceva wins five year Silentnight home delivery contract

Ceva Logistics has won a five-year contract to provide a two-man home delivery service for bed manufacturer Silentnight Group.

Under the deal, Ceva's specialist home delivery unit, Ceva Home, will make over 70,000 deliveries a year, collecting mattresses and divan bases from two manufacturing sites in Lancashire and Cumbria and delivering direct to customers six days a week on behalf of national retailers.

Customer deliveries will be made predominantly with 7.5 tonne vehicles and will include both assembly of new beds and collection of old ones as required.

Ceva replaces three separate logistics companies who previously carried out Silentnight's deliveries.
