Bibby Distribution has secured a three-year contract renewal with Seabrook Crisps in a multi-million pound deal.
The new part of the deal will see it distribute around 3.5m packets of crisps per week from Bibby’s 530,000ft² multi-user warehouse in Yeadon, West Yorkshire.
It will use a mix of dedicated and multi-user vehicles in both Seabrook and Bibby liveries to transport around 90,000 cases every week to supermarkets, wholesalers, sports clubs, value retailers and airports.
The contract uses a transactional model, allowing stock levels to be increased quickly to cope with peaks in demand.
Bibby’s regional general manager Darrell Rushforth said: “Having worked with Seabrook Crisps for over five years, we truly understand their requirements as valued customers, which is why we are able to offer them a transactional deal that gives them enough warehousing options to ensure their business growth.”
Daniel Woodwards, Seabrook Crisps financial director, added: “Bibby Distribution stands out for offering both the national reach and the in depth understanding of its customers that we require, so we are delighted to continue our successful partnership.”
The operator is the sole logistics provider for Seabrook and has held the contract since 2007.
In December Bibby ordered 150 Euro-6 Mercedes-Benz trucks, which will be delivered this year and into 2015.
