Yusen Logistics has renewed its contract with Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK), a contract it has held since 2008.

As a result Yusen will provide the inbound logistics to Nissan’s plant in Sunderland, providing components for the Qashqai, Note, Juke and Leaf vehicles.

Yusen MD Ian Veitch said: “This is great news which builds on the quality of service that we have provided to Nissan over a number of years. We look forward to continuing our long term and successful future with Nissan in the UK.”

He added that the contract was a time sensitive operation as Nissan holds minimum stock on site.

The operator also holds a contract to handle UK collection services at Nissan’s International Parts Centre in the North East, as well as providing the collection services at Nissan sites in central and eastern Europe.
