Yodel has secured a three-year contract extension with River Island to provide a range of home delivery services for its e-commerce business.
Building on a six-year relationship, Yodel will now provide 24-hour, 48-hour and 72-hour delivery to consumers on the retailer’s behalf. It will also deliver into CollectPlus parcel shops and offer text and email alerts for consumers to track their delivery.
Yodel will accept later deliveries into its sort centres to enable River Island’s customers to order goods up until 9pm for next-day delivery.
Executive chairman Dick Stead described the win as a “great accolade”.
He said: "Our wide range of services, proven ability to provide solutions and flex to offer uninterrupted service levels throughout the year has ensured the continuation of our relationship.”
Arif Ahmed, logistics director at River Island said: “We have been working with Yodel for six years, and have been impressed with the partnership approach, service innovation and focus on customer service that they provide. For us, it is important to enable our customers to order late into the evening and receive their goods in time for an event the very next day.”
