Hope Construction Materials has awarded Wincanton a six-year contract renewal, which will see the 3PL continue to provide its bulk and bagged road logistics.
Wincanton is responsible for delivering just short of a million tonnes per year for Hope with 600 road journeys made each week.
The new contract involves the renewal of the existing bulk agreement, with the addition of warehouse and bagged cement transport services from Hope’s Dagenham facility, which is due to open shortly.
Chris Fenton, MD at Wincanton, said: “We have worked with Hope for many years and have supported them on their outstanding growth journey in recent times.
“Our relationship is built on close collaboration and trust and we look forward to continuing to work with Hope and build on this partnership.”
Hope’s chief operating officer Mike Cowell said: “Our long-standing partnership with Wincanton has seen our customer service levels go from strength-to-strength.”
With the imminent launch of our bagged product, Wincanton’s expertise will be even more important, helping us to get our products to market on time and in the most efficient way possible to ensure that we can continue this level of service to our customers.”
Wincanton has worked for Hope since the latter’s inception in January 2013.
