Wilson James has been appointed as logistics integrator for Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL).
The five-year contract will commence in July and includes the provision of construction logistics for Heathrow’s £1.5bn development programme and operational support through the management and distribution of the airport’s engineering materials.
The contract also includes the planning and operation of the Colnbrook Logistics Centre, which will act as the logistics and screening centre for construction activities at Heathrow.
The deal extends Wilson James’s presence at Heathrow as it has acted as construction logistics integrator since 2008.
Mark Dobson, chief executive at Wilson James, said: “Having been a first tier supplier to Heathrow for mover 10 years, we understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of Heathrow’s existing operations throughout their development programme.
“We look forward to supporting HAL as their logistics integrator and helping them achieve their objectives the next five year.”
Wilson James also runs the London Construction Consolidation Centre, near City Airport in the capital.
