UK Mail has renewed its contract with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) after what it described as a “competitive tender process”.
The mail carrier, which recently underwent a makeover with a new logo and website, will remain responsible for the collection, sortation and delivery of RBS’s mail across the UK.
The companies have been working together since 2005.
Steve Patrick, UK Mail MD for mail, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with RBS following the award of a further, multi-year contract with this leading UK bank.
“We are extremely proud of the vital role we play in delivering timely communications to RBS’s customers in support of their customer first strategy.”
UK Mail saw its pre-tax profit fall by almost a third last year, after it installed incompatible sortation technology to its new Coventry hub, incurring significant extra costs.
Chairman Peter Kane said that that while the last year had been “challenging”, the group had made “good progress in implementing a detailed plan to address the issues we faced in transitioning to [its] new automated hub”, and that the outlook for the next year was good.
