Premier Logistics Group cements three-year deal with Tile Giant

Bardon-based Premier Logistics Group has landed a three-year contract with tile retailer Tile Giant.

This latest deal, which closely follows the award of a two year deal with packaging manufacturer Munro last month, sees Premier Logistics deliver stock to over 100 Tile Giant stores on a daily basis, using specialist trailers bearing Tile Giant branding and trailer mounted forklift truck equipment.

The contract is expected to grow in capacity as Tile Giant expands its retail portfolio to more than 250 stores over the next five years.

Announcing the appointment, Tile Giant MD Andy Morrison said: “With our ambitious growth plans, we needed a logistics partner who shares the same ethos and the capacity growth alongside us.

"From the outset, we were impressed with Premier’s enthusiasm and commitment to invest in a long term partnership."

Premier Logistics MD Lee Christopher added: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this prestigious contract by Tile Giant, and see this as another step towards the Premier Logistics Group becoming a truly national contract logistics partner of choice."

Tile Giant, which was acquired by Travis Perkins Group in 2007, also supplies tiles to over 200 Travis Perkins and City Plumbing Supplies stores.
