NC Cammack & Son has left Fortec to join rival network Palletforce.
The family business, bought by Kinaxia Logistics in 2013, will take over coverage of the Colchester area from fellow member Simarco.
Simarco has given up part of its coverage to Cammack because of growing pallet volumes in the area.
NC Cammack & Son joined Fortec in 2014, having not belonged to a pallet network before then.
MD Jim Cammack said: “Customer service has always been at the heart of our business and we are delighted to become a member of Palletforce, an established network that upholds the same values that we do.
"Palletforce has proven to be a forward thinking, dynamic network which complements our drive to further expand our quality service offering.”
Palletforce CEO Michael Conroy added: “The addition of NC Cammack & Son adds yet more priceless industry expertise to our already unrivalled line-up across the UK."
Last week, HRH Princess Anne opened Palletforce's £50m super hub in Stoke-on-Trent, and Conroy confirmed the network would be trialling a division in Shanghai next year.
Fortec had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
