Arrow XL’s Midlands and South West operation is up and running again after a fire gutted its Worcester hub last month.
Approximately 150 employees were evacuated safely from the fire at the hub, declared a major incident by the police, which started in the early hours of 20 April.
Arrow XL chief executive Ian Howell told MT that the delivery firm resumed service on Friday 28 April from a relief site in Chepstow.
“Volumes will ramp up in Chepstow over the course of this week and it is envisaged that the site will be operating at planned capacity by 9 May.
“I would like to say a special thanks to a phenomenal team effort by all colleagues, and to our clients and customers for their support and understanding.”
The Worcester site, on the Blackpole Trading Estate, is one of Arrow XL’s four main hubs.
Last month, former DPD executive director Charlie Shiels joined Arrow XL as chief operations officer.
