Gordon Leslie Group has completed the rebranding of its Glasgow-based warehousing and bonded storage business Benchmark Packaging, which it purchased in December 2014. This includes putting newly liveried trailer (pictured) on the road. The operator said Benchmark Packaging, which offers specialist bonded storage and contract packing services mainly for the whisky industry, had grown since acquistion with turnover up to to £2.8m in 2015 (2014: £2.4m) with net profit at £250,000 (2014: £25,000).
Wincanton has secured a multi-million pound extension on its contract with B&Q, taking on management of an additional warehouse. The firm will manage B&Q’s one million ft² showroom fulfilment centre in Burton-on-Trent, which provides warehousing for the retailer’s bathroom, bedroom and kitchen range. Norbert Dentressangle has confirmed plans for a new 295,000ft² central UK hub at Crick, in Northamptonshire, which will lead to the closure of two depots at Northampton and Rowley Regis.
