Norbert Dentressangle has appointed two new managing directors to head up its transport and distribution & logistics divisions in the UK.

Dan Myers takes the reins as MD of Norbert Dentressangle Transport and Distribution UK, while Richard Cawston steps up as MD of Norbert Dentressangle’s UK Logistics division.

Between them, the pair have a combined 27 years’ service at the business: Myers started out on the company’s graduate programme and most recently held a post of business unit director in the logistics division; Cawston joined the company in 2003 and has held a variety of roles within the logistics division, most recently heading up the company’s consumer business unit.

Jointly, the new MDs will be responsible for ND’s second largest market outside France and one of the UK’s largest transport and logistics companies.

Cawston’s predecessor, Phil Shaw, has also been promoted to the role of operations and efficiency director within Norbert Dentressangle’s Group Logistics division, reporting to divisional MD Malcolm Wilson. He will focus on the introduction of best practices, efficiency and innovation across all of ND’s logistics businesses and, in the short term, will assist in the integration of Jacobson Companies in the United States, following its recent acquisition.

ND CEO Herve Montjotin said: “The development of our colleagues is at the very heart of our business and I am delighted to see three such talented individuals taking up these important roles.”
