Road safety organisation Brake has urged firms to implement a zero-tolerance approach to at-work drink and drug driving, after a survey suggested fewer than half would dismiss an employee for driving when over the legal alcohol limit. DHL Consumer Bawtry has awarded a contract for the management of both its temporary and permanent staffing requirements to recruitment specialist Milestone. The contract, worth approximately £8m a year, will see Milestone manage LGV drivers, fork lift truck drivers, warehouse operatives and administrative staff at Bawtry, Europe’s single largest multi-user warehousing and distribution site.
