Leading fuel card supplier Keyfuels has added a further 279 fuel sites, meaning its customers now have access to over 1,790 sites nationwide.

The network expansion includes 57 new sites suitable for both HGV and LCV vehicles, four new truckstops specifically for HGV, as well as over 30 new sites in Scotland.  The remaining sites are all suitable for LCV fleets, helping Keyfuels increase its penetration and offering to the LCV sector.

Peter Bridgen, Keyfuels’ MD, said: “The Keyfuels brand is well established in the HGV sector, and whilst there are still growth opportunities for us in our core transport and logistics market, this continued network expansion is also allowing us to improve our offering to the LCV market.

“The key issues affecting fleet operators in both of these markets are the price of fuel, network convenience, choice and consistency.  At Keyfuels, not only do we work with our customers to make sure they are getting the best commercial fuel prices, but we also work tirelessly to ensure our sites are in the most convenient of locations.

Keyfuels manage billions of litres of fuel each year for some of Europe’s largest HGV and LCV fleets, offering operators an unrivalled mix of multi-branded sites, from motorway service stations to oil company sites, supermarkets and truckstops.

Bridgen continued: “We know that fuel accounts for at least of third of operating costs within the HGV and LCV sectors, which is a huge expenditure.  We work with operators to develop strategies that will lower these costs and improve profitability through state-of-the-art management and reporting systems.  This can also include integrating telematics data to provide up-to-date information on fuel usage and the fuel efficiency of drivers.”
