Bibby Distribution has become the latest operator to commit to a fleet refresh, with MAN set to deliver a total of 450 TGX tractors to the business during the next 18 months. Former Bibby Distribution head of business development, David Hutchings, has been appointed to the newly created role of head of business development at Gloucestershire-based CM Downton. Downton, which won the Motor Transport Haulier of the Year Award in June and has doubled its turnover in the last three years, says Hutchings will be key to achieving its targets for further growth. Prior to joining Bibby, Hutchings held senior business development roles at Wincanton and Christian Salvesen.
