DHL Express has opened a new service centre in Maidstone, Kent, to manage a 40% increase in export business in the area.
The new 24,000ft² centre is predicted to handle 750,000 shipments annually, and will offer international (express parcel) services to and from the UK, including a drop off and collection facility.
Phil Couchman, CEO of DHL Express UK and Ireland, says: “This strategic investment in the Maidstone area is reflective of the strength of our growing logistics network in the UK. We plan on continuing our investment where we see opportunities for future growth.”
