Wren Kitchens' driver of the year competition saw a dozen of the retailer’s best drivers going head-to-head, with Gavin Swanson (pictured left with Wren transport and logistics director Lee Holmes) finally taking the coveted title for the second year running.

Wojciech Wozniak, from Trafford Park, secured second place, with Bristol-based Luke Thorne taking third spot.

“Whilst this annual event is about highlighting and rewarding the crème de la crème of drivers, the standard of our 700+ strong transport team runs consistently high across the country, evidenced by winning Motor Transport’s Home Delivery Operator award for the last two years,” said Holmes.

The company added that since it started running the competition and focusing on safe and efficient driving, it had seen a 14% increase in mpg between 2019 and 2023.
