Wincanton settles into sofa.com contract

Wincanton has struck a deal with sofa.com to provide a two-person home delivery service for the furniture retailer.

The deal means Wincanton will fulfil 20,000 deliveries each year to customers’ homes from its network hubs in Harlow and Sheffield.

Its service includes delivery to a room of choice, as well as removal and recycling of packaging.

Wincanton added that the sofa.com operation would comprise part of its sustainable, two-person delivery operation as it aims towards a 2040 net zero target.

Carl Moore, Wincanton MD of e-fulfilment said: “We’re delighted to welcome sofa.com into our premium home delivery network.

“Our expertise and shared facilities will support sofa.com along their growth journey and strengthen customer loyalty with our premium service.”
