Ward Recycling has invested more than £2m in 21 new materials handling fleet vehicles to improve energy efficiency and safety.
They include roll on/offs, skip and tipper lorries, artics, trailers and four 8-wheelers, designed specifically for the metal and waste recycling firm’s special projects.
The company said all vehicles are 21 plated and ordered through local DAF, Scania and Volvo main dealers. And it chose hydraulics supplier Commercial Vehicle Hydraulics (CVH) to fit 12 tipper wetkits over all three chassis manufacturers.
Donald Ward, Ward operations director, said: “This is another significant investment and commitment to our ongoing sustainability strategy.
“We continually review our fleet, moving out older vehicles and bringing in more efficient replacements.”
Carl Hinds, CVH MD said: “We’re delighted that Ward Recycling has once again chosen CVH for their latest twelve tipper wetkits.
“With their trucks often having to carry irregular payloads, this is the ideal solution for hydraulic power to tip the load.”
