TNT Express has revealed details of its parcel delivery contract with retailer JML, that it picked up three months ago.The operator won the contract after developing a parcel tracking system for JML, to allow the customer and its outsourcing partner to monitor the process of its orders.
Parcels are also electronically sorted to prevent partial orders from being dispatched. TNT said this also helps reduce the number of lost or damaged parcels.
During the first three months of the contract, JML has seen a 2.5% increase in the number of first-time deliveries, compared to another contract it held with an unnamed carrier.
TNT Express UK & Ireland MD, Alistair Cochrane, said: "TNT Express sees working with JML Retail as a long-term partnership. By working closely with its team to really get to the heart of its specific requirements, we are able to develop solutions to meet their requirements more closely. This in turn, drives improvements in the level of service JML Retail is able to offer its customer base."
